Self Portrait
This self portrait is a direct reflection of how I balance my work, my marriage, and my art. I can’t be 100% in all areas and sometimes I feel I am never completely present. I can recognize the spaces in between where I am mentally absent. Being mindful of those spaces helps me to maintain balance and keeps me on the path towards improvement.

Travis Paquin uses a blend of artistic mediums and modern technology such as computer-aided design, 3D printing, clay sculpture, and mixed media manipulation to create abstract imagery that strives to push the limits of his own creativity.
Paquin is largely self-taught in the area of holography, constantly utilizing an array of resources including educational textbooks, scientific papers, online forums as well as conversations with longtime masters of the medium. He embraces the chaotic nature of dichromate gelatin holography with persistence and constant experimentation, learning something new with every failure. Paquin has ambitions to manipulate light in ways that have never been seen before and considers his best work to be on the horizon. He currently lives and works in the Greater Seattle Area with his wife and rescue dog.
