Guillermo Federico Heinze, A Holographic Portrait, 2013, Multiplex hologram on film, mirror backed 16″ x 12″

This holographic stereogram represents the “Holographic-Gestal” composed of portraits of people involved with holograms. 98 photographic portraits where taken at the MIT Media Lab, during the 9th International Symposium on Display Holography (ISDH) in 2012. These images were then combine into a hologram using the multiplex printer  at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne.

Guillermo Federico Heinze was born in Patagonia, Argentina and studied holography at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany. In 2015 he started the Light-Kitchen, a laboratory for dichromate gelatin holograms in Hamburg, Germany in cooperation with the Light Foundry from Santa Fe, NM, USA. Since 2018 he lives and works in Cologne. His new holographic art studio is a vibrant space were technology, science and arts fusion.
